The Cocoon delivers a compelling combination of sound quality, connectivity and class-leading features in an artful, inspired chassis design. Offering wireless audio streaming from any mobile device in HiFi quality, the Cocoon is both Airplay and DLNA compatible. An on-board internet radio tuner allows for the storage and playback of three internet radio favorites, even without an iDevice docked. Near instantaneous home network connection is established via NetLink, part of a custom Smartphone application written expressly for the Cocoon products. The Cocoon App also features a music player function for streaming audio directly from the handheld device or from shared folders on the home network. Control of 50,000+ internet radio stations is made possible by a built in tune in internet radio app launcher. Denon sound engineers leverage the power of four, 9-band digital equalizers to precisely balance the low, mid and high frequencies for premium performance at all volume levels. A 100-Watts digital amplifier delivers power for any musical demand: 25-Watts per driver in a bi-amped configuration drive a pair of custom designed loudspeakers operating in left/right isolated compartments. The Cocoon molded enclosure features 3mm thick, clear plastic walls that are painted from the inside lending a deep, jewel-like quality to the product; high gloss black and white finishes are available.
